How to Create Running Ads on YouTube
Running ads on YouTube enables you to promote videos on Google’s Display Network (GDN) and on YouTube, where more than 70% of video views happen. With a variety of ad formats and pricing models to choose from, it’s important to set clear goals and track performance throughout your campaign.
To create a new YouTube campaign, log in to your Google Ads account and click the “+” icon. On the next page, select a goal that corresponds to the desired result of your campaign. If you want to generate website traffic, for example, select the “Website visits” option. You’ll also have the option to specify content exclusions, including keywords and topics that are relevant to your audience. By using this feature, you can avoid advertising your content alongside videos that may not align with your brand values, such as gambling or explicit sexual content.

Once you’ve selected a goal, enter a billing currency and set the daily budget that you would like to spend on your YouTube ads. It’s important to note that you will only be charged for video ad impressions and views up to the amount of your daily budget.
To optimize your ad costs, experiment with different targeting options to find the best combination that gets you results. Keep in mind that the more specific your target is, the higher your ad cost will be.
